I feel guilty spreading this any further - hey, I'm sure this kind of thing has happened to everyone.

Well, there was a brief struggle. McCain had the upper hand at first, because he obviously caught Obama by surprise. But since he grabbed him around the... hips for some reason and wouldn't change his hold, it was pretty easy for Obama to wrestle him off. He just held him in a full nelson till security arrived.
OK, what *actually* happened was that McCain was going around the table to shake hands with the moderator and they got into one of those I-go-this-way, you-go-that-way things that always looks so silly. ;)
